About

The beads are handcrafted at my studio in picturesque Northamptonshire.  They are fired, hand painted and glazed then fired again.  Some using traditional firing and others raku firing.  The patterns of real gold, platinum or mother of pearl all require a third firing.  All clasps and ear wires are sterling silver or gold vermaille.

I also paint in oils and acrylics, finding inspiration in the local countryside, flora and fauna.

Oils are used for traditional landscapes on canvas including diptychs and triptychs to give landscapes that expansive feeling.

Acrylics give an immediate effect to catch abstract representations.

Finally I have used watercolour paintings in a book. The Really Wonderful Food Book envelops another passion of mine, what food does in the body.
